As the logo indicates, the Leatherman family has operated a campground here since 1962, when the camping boom was getting underway and two-lane Route 11 was the main East Coast north-south thoroughfare. Many Canadian campers stayed with us on their way to Florida in the fall and on their return journey in the spring. Rozelle and Dale Leatherman were always in the small store/office to greet campers and show them to a parking place “on the hill” or under the trees down by the stream.

Most RV sites include Wi-Fi, water, electric, and sewer hookups, with more sites being upgraded over time. We are not a resort-style campground, so we do not have amenities like a pool, tennis courts, or planned children’s activities. However, guests can still enjoy outdoor fun like playing in the stream and fishing in the pond, with restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and historical attractions nearby.
We use a “Call Ahead Camping” system instead of traditional advance reservations. Guests can call 304-274-2791 within 24 hours of their expected arrival, and our team will place their name on an available site when possible.
